Lip Balm Bonanza!

As some of you may know, I'm kind of a lip balm junkie (understatement). I love lip balm. I hoard it. I need it. I suffer from dry/chapped lips due to a multitude of reasons, and therefore, I'm always looking for a great lip balm. If I had to pick one cosmetic item, this would be it. Today I wanted to share with you part of my collection, to tell you what  worked for me and what didn't. I'm still on the quest for that holy grail lip balm, so if any of you have suggestions pleas leave them down below!

Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm ($3)

This isn't my favorite lip balm, but I like it. I like the Burt's Bees brand in general, since they tend to lean towards using more natural ingredinets while still keeping their products affordable.

I found this one to be more moisturizing than the Honey lip balm. Maybe it's the kokum butter. Either way, I prefer this one to the lip balm above and keep it in my cosmetics bag in my backpack so I always have it handy.

I bought this product on a whim when I had a $1-off coupon at CVS, and I'm really happy I did! It's not "ultra hydrating," but it gets the job done, and the pink tint it gives is very flattering in my opinion. It looks very natural, and it's very sheer so you don't need a mirror.

I like this product. For one, it looks like a glue stick. I think it works well, and you get a lot of product for the price.

I got this from an Influenster box a few months back. If you're looking for a moisturizing lip balm, is isn't what you're looking for. However, if you're looking for a "my lips are tinted red because I just ate a popsicle," this is exactly what you're looking for! I really like this, since I get shy when it comes to wearing bright colors.

I've been using this lip balm every night before bed. From my personal experience, it seems like products that come in a little pot or tub tend to be more moisturizing. Maybe products in a tube have to be more waxy in order to keep their shape? There's a tinted version of this that I've been dying to try, but I can't justify buying it. Some people say that all this does is sit on top of your lips and doesn't actually moisturize them, as it doesn't absorb into the skin, so maybe it's just a placebo effect. I'll keep testing it out and let you know!

Although the unpleasant artificial scent took some getting used to, I really like this lip balm. It provides moisture and makes a great base for lipstick. I just wish they made an unscented version.

Well, that's all for part one! I'll make a post sometime in the future with more lip balms that I have lying around. These are just some of the ones I use most often. Yes, I know it's crazy, but I keep lip balm everywhere. One in the front pouch of my bag, three in my makeup bag, two on my nightstand, one in my cosmetics pouch in my bag, and then others miscellaneously strewn about (or in my makeup box, where they belong). Yes, that is excessive. No, I don't plan on changing it any time soon. :) I just hate not being able to find lip balm when my lips are dry or chapped!

What's your favorite lip balm?
