February Finds: 6 New Products I've Been Trying

February Finds: New Products I've Been Trying, featuring Elizabeth Arden, Foreo, Deborah Lippmann, China Glaze, and Marcelle!

Hi, friends! It's around that time of the month (no, not that time of the month) when I usually do my monthly favorites posts. Usually I'd talk about all the new products I tested and my favorite discoveries of that month, but things are going to work a little differently this month. For the majority of February, I was either using products I've already mentioned on the blog, or testing new products that I haven't made a decision on yet, so I'm not quite ready to share my thoughts on them so early in the game.

So I figured, rather than talking about the products you guys already know I like in a redundant Favorites post, how about we start the train rolling on some new products? Here's a sneak peek to some of the products you'll see mentioned on the blog within the next month or two:

ELIZABETH ARDEN | Flawless Future Caplet Serum ($60 | 1oz)
ELIZABETH ARDEN | Superstart Skin Renewal Booster ($65 | 1oz)

February Finds: New Products I've Been Trying: ELIZABETH ARDEN | Flawless Future Caplet Serum & Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

Believe it or not, I've actually never used a product from Elizabeth Arden before! I received this duo from Elizabeth Arden and started incorporating them into my skincare routine about a week ago. The Superstart Booster (right) is supposed to enhance the effects of the other skincare products you layer on top of it, while the Flawless Future Serum (left) is applied like a regular serum to deliver ceramides and repair skin. So far, so good, but I'll be posting an in-depth review of these guys in the next week or two!

February Finds: New Products I've Been Trying: Marcelle Hydra-C 24H Energizing Gel

After trying a little sample of this moisturizer, I decided I liked it enough to order the full-size from Birchbox's website. Spring is just around the corner, which is right about the time when I give my combination skin a break from heavy creams and start bringing out the lighter lotions and gels. This gel is hydrating enough for me to use at nighttime, as long as it's partnered with a hydrating serum (or the Elizabeth Arden duo above!). It contains Vitamins C and E, along with other nice ingredients like aloe and cucumber extract. I'll report back when I've made more of a dent in this jar, but so far we're doing good!

February Finds: New Products I've Been Trying: Foreo Luna for Sensitive/Normal Skin

I'm so excited I finally got a Foreo Luna! It came in the mail a few days ago, and I was able to put it to the test for the first time today. For those who don't know, it's a gentle skin cleansing device made completely of silicone, quite different from the Clarisonic and the off-brand copycats. I was really surprised how gentle it was on the skin. The only major downside I can see so far is that you have to remove your makeup before using it, unlike with the Clarisonic, which was great at getting my makeup off at the end of the night. I'll definitely be doing an in-depth review of this baby once I become more acquainted with it, so stay tuned. I've also been getting ahead of myself and thinking of doing a comparison post with the Clarisonic Mia 2, so let me know if that's something you would find useful!

February Finds: New Products I've Been Trying: Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers

AKA baby's first Deborah Lippmann glitter polish. I've been eyeing this one for awhile, along with Across the Universe, both of which seem to have suspiciously disappeared from Sephora. Why would you do that to us?? Thankfully, I was able to snag this one off Birchbox's website, and the other one is still available through Amazon (though we'll see how long that lasts). Anyway, this is a black jelly base nail polish with pieces of red glitter, supposedly inspired by Dorothy's ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz. I ordered it too late for it to come by Valentine's Day, but I'll be rocking it next month for sure! I hope it's as gorgeous on the nails as it is in the bottle. I'll post a Nail of the Day (NotD) on my Instagram, so keep an eye out!

CHINA GLAZE | Skyscraper ($7.50 | .5oz)

February Finds: New Products I've Been Trying: China Glaze Skyscraper

I've mentioned China Glaze Snow Globe on the blog before, but I'd never actually used one of their polishes before this. I mentioned this in a Mail Time forever ago, and then completely forgot about it until now (*shame shame*). I wore it for the first time last week and I realized how gorgeous it is: a navy blue glitter nail polish that looks like a glitter polish, but doesn't feel gritty like a glitter polish (or bring the struggles of removing one, thank God). This one is actually from their Metro Collection back in 2011, so I was surprised to see it's still readily available on Amazon. I'm really impressed with the formula on this, especially considering it's cheaper than Essie and OPI, though it's definitely not a one-coater. If you guys want to see a swatch, I'll be sure to take a picture next time I wear it and post it to my Instagram.. I'll let you guys know when I post it!

What's the best thing you discovered in February?
