Mail Time! May 2015

Mail Time! May 2015

Wow, it's been a long time since I did one of these! Today I'll be doing a new "Mail Time!" post, in which I'll basically share with you all of the packages that have been piling up at my mother's house while I was away at school. It's a good preview of what I'm going to talk about on the blog for the next couple of weeks. Think of it as a sneak-peek of reviews to come. It's fun!

SOLSCENTS Continuous Spray Sunscreen in Deep Love and Flower Blast (12.95)

Mail Time! May 2015

You might have seen a picture of these on my Instagram a little while back. As you may already know, I'm a huge fan of Solscents. They make sunscreens with a variety of different scents, and donate a portion of their proceeds to different charities. Each scent corresponds with a color, so you can choose your sunscreen based on personal preference or charitable cause! I love it!

I was excited when they sent me their new spray sunscreens to try out. If they're anything like the lotions, I'm sure I'll love them. Now that we're approaching summer (slowly but surely) I'll finally have an excuse to use these! I'm hoping that on my days off from work I'll be able to spend some time outdoors and get some (safe) sun!

COVERGIRL IntensifyMe! Liquid Eyeliner in Intense Black ($8) COVERGIRL The Super Sizer Mascara by LashBlast ($7)

This was a happy surprise from CoverGirl! I did a post for them back in 2014 on their #GirlsCan campaign. I've never had much luck with liquid liner (I have shaky hands and watery eyes, so it never really works out) so I'm curious to see how this stacks up. As for the mascara, I have a good feeling about it, since their LashBlast line has my favorite mascaras from the drugstore. I'll try them out and let you know what I think!

SCHICK Hydro Silk TrimStyle Razor ($14)

SCHICK Hydro Silk TrimStyle Razor ($14)

I received this from BzzAgent to test out. I complained about how expensive women's razors are in my Dollar Shave Club review, but at least this one pulls it own weight for the price! I like the original Hydro Silk razor, and this one also doubles as a bikini line trimmer, which is something I've never seen before. I'll play around with it and get back to you!

(Birchbox Order #1)
AHMAD TEA Peach & Passion Fruit Tea (about $2.80)
LAQA & CO. Lip Lube Lip Pencil in Beezlebub ($20)

AHMAD TEA Peach & Passion Fruit Tea (about $2.80) LAQA & CO. Lip Lube Lip Pencil in Beezlebub ($20)

When Birchbox had their "$15 off" sale for Aces, I wanted to take advantage of it and get another Laqa & Co Lip Lube, since I really liked the one in my May box last year. The shade I got, Beezlebub, is a bright hot pink that will be perfect for summer and I'm excited to wear it! I wanted to pay in points, and even though it came out to only a few dollars, I wanted to add something on since I'd be using up $10 in points anyway, so I just added on a box of tea. I don't know if this is any good, so if any of you have tried it, let me know!

(Birchbox Order #2)
PIXI Shea Butter Lip Balm in Coral Crush ($8)

PIXI Shea Butter Lip Balm in Coral Crush ($8)

I purchased my mother a full-size container of Perlier's Shea Butter Body Balm on Birchbox's website, and (like the previous order), I wanted to make it an even $40 points so I wouldn't be letting them go to waste. So, I picked up this little guy. I really like the Natural Rose shade I mentioned in my February Favorites so I wanted to pick up another shade to try out. They're so comfortable, yet still leave a pretty tint--like the fancy velour sweatpants of makeup!

Birchbox for May 2015 ($10)

Birchbox for May 2015 ($10)

My May Birchbox arrived! I'll be doing an unboxing of this next week. I picked the Harvey Prince Sea Salt Spray as my sample choice this month. What did you pick?

Lovely Day Limited Edition Birchbox ($62)

Lovely Day Limited Edition Birchbox ($62)

I've been eyeing this box for weeks, and when I'd saved up enough points, I took the plunge and bought it! I'm really excited about the items in here. I think this was intended to be a Mother's Day box, but I bought it to celebrate me, and I feel quite celebrated.

You might have noticed the pictures in this post look a little different, and that's because they are--I got a new camera! I've been lusting after it for nearly a year, and my aunt and my brother teamed up and got it for me as a graduation present. I'm so excited! There was a great kit on Amazon that came with a bunch of stuff, like an additional lens and a tripod (maybe there will be a Beauty Buff YouTube channel in the future?!). I've been struggling to take adequate pictures with my old point-and-shoot camera from 2009, so I'm super stoked to figure out manual mode and become a master photographer with this (or, you know, better than I am now). Can you see a difference already? I'm still learning, but I think the pictures already look way better.

What goodies have you gotten in the mail recently?
